We can see fundraising actions in many ways. The usual common factor is that you will only fundraise projects if you care about them. They can be around any field, such the artistic, the scientific, the technologic, either charitable.
One day a guy called David arrived at our office with the idea of creating the first Association Against the Cancer in Andorra, the name was ASSANDCA. He had overcome the illness just a year ago and his co-founder Josep lost his wife a few months ago… The best ideas and most amazing stories come from people that had to overcome bad experiences, so these both gentlemen decided to solve any issues around cancer disease in the country they were living in.
They wanted to create an Association that would support the fight against this illness by getting the society involved. So we organized events that helped us to get funds: from solidary cycling, yoga and marathon sessions (using local business as supportive partners – here some examples for sustainable marketing) were t-shirts were produced with the Association’s logotype that participants will get after paying the solidary fee.
We included in our client's Marketing strategy Corporate Social Responsibility actions and we organized fundraising events that would benefit ASSANDCA (read more about Synergy Marketing here). We connected heaps of different businesses; sportz teams and organzations (including the Government) that wanted to give some support to this disease that affects already that many people in the society. All these actions ended-up by having a large PR impact on media (read more about PR Marketing here).
By organizing events, the society participated in activities, so the entity grow-up and is now managing and funding projects such as sports training for the cancer survivors, ambulances available for the quick transport to Barcelona’s hospitals when an emergency occurs, conferences for medical professionals, among others.
